45 The Bee is a hand-carved cast sterling silver pendant presented on a classic hinged hoop earring. Like its companion 44 The Butterfly, its form recalls the traces of a body in motion — stretching, swimming, pacing, retracing — and pulled perhaps back by a center of gravity only visible through this record of motion. Irregular in form and outward-looking in spirit, The Bee evokes curiosity and a sense of constant movement — ever-searching as it moves through the world.
The pendant is a tiny sculpture that is removable from its hoop, enabling The Bee to be worn in myriad ways. Wear it on its own, as a pair of two bees, or with its companion earring 44 The Butterfly. (Or perhaps as its own necklace on a chain.)
